I want to extend my sincere gratitude to our families, teachers, and staff for your incredible support and dedication as I serve as your interim superintendent. Your commitment to our students' success is evident every day, and I am especially grateful for your continued partnership in prioritizing regular school attendance. When children attend school consistently, they build strong relationships with peers and teachers, engage in crucial hands-on learning, and stay on track for long-term academic success. Every classroom experience is a step toward a complete, well-rounded education, and your encouragement at home makes all the difference in keeping our students present and engaged.

At the same time, it is vital to recognize the direct impact daily attendance has on our entire district. Beyond missed classroom lessons, frequent absences directly affect our school system's financial resources. Much of our funding is tied directly to daily attendance metrics. When a student misses school—even for an excused absence—our district loses revenue that directly funds classroom supplies, support staff, extracurricular opportunities, and facility maintenance. By working together to ensure our children are in class every day, we protect both their individual educational futures and the essential resources that support our entire school community.

Dear Families,

I am thrilled to share some wonderful updates about our campus that will directly enrich your children's daily experience at school! First, our brand-new library is officially open and ready for our students to explore, discover new books, and foster a lifelong love for reading. Additionally, we have completed installation of new padded safety flooring on our playground, giving our kids a safer, more vibrant space to play and stay active during recess.

Looking ahead, we are also gearing up for another major milestone: our new building will be fully ready to welcome our Kindergarten through 2nd-grade students this coming January! This state-of-the-art facility will provide bright, modern learning spaces tailored specifically to our youngest learners. Thank you for your continued support and enthusiasm as we grow and improve our campus. We cannot wait for your children to enjoy all these fantastic new spaces!

Dear AEA Families,

Thank you for your continued involvement in your student's educational journey. We have been fortunate to host several events across both campuses so far this school year and look forward to providing even more opportunities for family engagement. To everyone who attended our Open House, Greet and Eat with the Principals, Town Hall, and Lotería Night, thank you for your participation and support.

As we look ahead to October, we are excited to offer additional events at the middle school, including High School Night on October 8, our IB Showcase and Preview Night on October 14, Parent-Teacher Conferences during the week of October 19, and, hopefully, another Fall Festival for our students at the end of the month.

Our students have already demonstrated tremendous growth in both academics and behavior this school year, and we greatly appreciate your partnership in supporting their success. As always, please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions, concerns, or feedback. We are committed to strengthening our connection with families and building a true partnership focused on student achievement and well-being.
