Dear AEA Community:

It is with a heavy heart that we inform you of the death of AEA Board Vice President Eric Mitchell. Eric passed away at home this weekend after a long battle with cancer. Eric will long be remembered as a kind, calm and analytical member of our Board, an avid outdoorsman, and most importantly a devoted father to his two daughters (one of whom graduated from AEA).

In the next weeks and months the AEA Board will formally honor Eric’s life and contributions.

Estimada Comunidad AEA:

Con gran pesar les informamos del fallecimiento del vicepresidente de la mesa directiva de AEA, Eric Mitchell. Eric falleció en su casa este fin de semana después de una larga batalla contra el cáncer. Eric será recordado durante mucho tiempo como un miembro amable, tranquilo y analítico de nuestra mesa directiva, un ávido amante de la naturaleza y, lo que es más importante, un padre devoto de sus dos hijas (una de las cuales se graduó de AEA).

En las próximas semanas y meses, la mesa directiva de AEA honrará formalmente la vida y las contribuciones de Eric.
