Dear AEA Community:
I wish to draw your attention to an unfortunate incident that occurred this afternoon at the AEACMS student dismissal. Our staff became aware of an adult distributing fliers to AEA students and parents. The fliers contained defamatory information about students, mentioned specific students by name and grade level, and called on the community to “shame” the students listed. AEA staff immediately directed the individual who was distributing the fliers to cease immediately.
I want to make abundantly clear that such communication listing student names, grades, and alleged actions is entirely unacceptable, may in fact be illegal, and will not be tolerated on our campuses.
AEA has established protocols, processes, and avenues for receiving and addressing complaints and questions from our community. These are always handled with the utmost attention and care while assiduously protecting confidential information. I would respectfully ask that our community continue to utilize the AEA hotline (858) 859-1550 or contact the respective principals with any questions, concerns, or suggestions.

Deseo llamar su atención sobre un lamentable incidente que ocurrió esta tarde durante la salida de los estudiantes del AEACMS. Nuestro personal se percató de un adulto distribuyendo folletos a estudiantes y padres de la AEA. Los folletos contenían información difamatoria sobre los estudiantes, mencionaban a ciertos estudiantes por nombre y nivel de grado, y llamaban a la comunidad a “avergonzar” a los estudiantes listados. El personal de la AEA inmediatamente instruyó a la persona que estaba distribuyendo los folletos a que cesara de inmediato.
Quiero dejar perfectamente claro que tal comunicación que lista nombres, grados y acciones supuestas de los estudiantes es completamente inaceptable, puede ser incluso ilegal y no será tolerada en nuestros campus.
La AEA ha establecido protocolos, procesos y vías para recibir y atender quejas y preguntas de nuestra comunidad. Estos siempre se manejan con la máxima atención y cuidado, protegiendo asiduamente la información confidencial. Respetuosamente pediría que nuestra comunidad continúe utilizando la línea directa de la AEA (858) 859-1550 o contacte a los directores respectivos con cualquier pregunta, preocupación o sugerencia.

Ich möchte Ihre Aufmerksamkeit auf einen bedauerlichen Vorfall lenken, der sich heute Nachmittag bei der Entlassung der AEACMS-Schüler ereignet hat. Unser Personal wurde darauf aufmerksam, dass ein Erwachsener Flugblätter an AEA-Schüler und Eltern verteilte. Die Flugblätter enthielten verleumderische Informationen über Schüler, nannten bestimmte Schüler mit Namen und Klassenstufe und forderten die Gemeinschaft auf, die genannten Schüler zu „beschämen“. Das AEA-Personal wies denjenigen, der die Flugblätter verteilte, sofort an, damit aufzuhören.
Ich möchte deutlich machen, dass eine solche Kommunikation, die Namen, Klassen und mutmaßliche Handlungen von Schülern auflistet, völlig inakzeptabel ist, tatsächlich illegal sein könnte und auf unseren Campus nicht toleriert wird.
Die AEA hat Protokolle, Verfahren und Wege eingerichtet, um Beschwerden und Fragen aus unserer Gemeinschaft zu erhalten und zu bearbeiten. Diese werden immer mit größter Aufmerksamkeit und Sorgfalt behandelt, während wir vertrauliche Informationen streng schützen. Ich würde unsere Gemeinschaft respektvoll bitten, weiterhin die AEA-Hotline (858) 859-1550 zu nutzen oder sich mit Fragen, Bedenken oder Vorschlägen an die jeweiligen Schulleiter zu wenden.
