Dear AEA Community,

We are happy to share some exciting news for our Elementary campus. AEA is proud to welcome Jorge Mora as our new Elementary Principal.

Jorge brings more than three decades of experience in education and leadership. Most recently, he served for 12 years as an Executive Director of Human Resources, overseeing Teacher Residency programs and Charter Schools in the Chula Vista Elementary School District. Prior to his district-level work, Jorge spent 12 years as a Principal, following 7 years as a dedicated bilingual classroom teacher.

As an educator and leader, Jorge is guided by the belief that every child is an individual of great worth. This philosophy shapes his approach to leadership and his commitment to strong partnerships with students, staff, and families.

Jorge is the proud father of three children—two of whom graduated from dual immersion programs—and a grandfather to a lively 9-year-old. Outside of school, he enjoys sports, cheering on the San Diego Padres, and spending quality time with family and friends.

Over the coming weeks, Jorge will begin meeting with the community and staff as he settles into his role. He will also attend the February 10 Board Meeting, where he will be formally introduced.

Nos complace compartir una noticia emocionante para nuestro campus de Primaria. AEA se enorgullece en dar la bienvenida a Jorge Mora como nuestro nuevo Director de Primaria.

Jorge aporta más de tres décadas de experiencia en educación y liderazgo. Más recientemente, se desempeñó durante 12 años como Director Ejecutivo de Recursos Humanos, supervisando programas de Residencia Docente y Escuelas Charter en el Distrito Escolar Primario de Chula Vista. Antes de su trabajo a nivel distrital, Jorge pasó 12 años como Director, tras 7 años como un dedicado maestro bilingüe en el aula.

Como educador y líder, Jorge se guía por la convicción de que cada niño es un individuo de gran valor. Esta filosofía da forma a su enfoque de liderazgo y a su compromiso con alianzas sólidas con estudiantes, personal y familias.

Jorge es un orgulloso padre de tres hijos—dos de los cuales se graduaron de programas de inmersión dual—y abuelo de un animado niño de 9 años. Fuera de la escuela, disfruta de los deportes, de apoyar a los San Diego Padres y de pasar tiempo de calidad con familiares y amigos.

En las próximas semanas, Jorge comenzará a reunirse con la comunidad y el personal mientras se adapta a su nuevo cargo. También asistirá a la Reunión de la Junta del 10 de febrero, donde será presentado formalmente.

wir freuen uns sehr, einige spannende Neuigkeiten für unseren Grundschulcampus mitteilen zu können. AEA ist stolz darauf, Jorge Mora als unseren neuen Grundschulleiter willkommen zu heißen.

Jorge bringt mehr als drei Jahrzehnte Erfahrung in Bildung und Führung mit. Zuletzt war er zwölf Jahre lang als Executive Director of Human Resources tätig und betreute dabei Lehrkräfte-Residenzprogramme sowie Charter Schools im Chula Vista Elementary School District. Vor seiner Tätigkeit auf Bezirksebene arbeitete Jorge zwölf Jahre als Schulleiter, nachdem er zuvor sieben Jahre lang engagierter bilingualer Klassenlehrer gewesen war.

Als Pädagoge und Führungskraft lässt sich Jorge von der Überzeugung leiten, dass jedes Kind ein Individuum von großem Wert ist. Diese Philosophie prägt seinen Führungsstil sowie sein Engagement für starke Partnerschaften mit Schülerinnen und Schülern, Mitarbeitenden und Familien.

Jorge ist stolzer Vater von drei Kindern – zwei von ihnen haben Programme der dualen Immersion abgeschlossen – und Großvater eines lebhaften neunjährigen Enkelkindes. Außerhalb der Schule begeistert er sich für Sport, feuert die San Diego Padres an und verbringt gerne wertvolle Zeit mit Familie und Freunden.

In den kommenden Wochen wird Jorge beginnen, die Gemeinschaft und das Personal kennenzulernen, während er sich in seine neue Rolle einarbeitet. Außerdem wird er an der Vorstandssitzung am 10. Februar teilnehmen, bei der er offiziell vorgestellt wird.
