Room Parent Program
We are looking for one parent from each classroom to serve as the Room Parent.
Responsibilities include:
- Connecting families with one another and the teacher
- Sending a monthly email
- Organizing a class get-together
- Coordinating teacher gifts

My name is Heidi Orcino, and I have a daughter in 3rd grade at AEA. This year, I’m serving on the FoAEA board as the Room Parent Coordinator. My role is to help connect families, teachers, and FoAEA through the Room Parent Program. My goal is to build a stronger AEA community by encouraging communication, supporting our teachers, and increasing family involvement in events.
Here’s what I’ll be working on this year:
- Sending weekly updates about upcoming events and activities at AEA
- Facilitating grade-level get-togethers
- Recruiting volunteers (even just an hour or two makes a big difference!)
- Managing the Room Parent Program
