AEA School Site Council Meeting #3: Thursday, November 9, 2023
When: Thursday, November 9, 2023, from 4:30 pm – 6:00 pm
Where: AEACMS Multi-purpose Room (MPR) at 458 26th St, San Diego, CA 92102
Discussion Topic: “Where are we starting? – AEA Student Data and Title I Budget”
Meeting access and resources:
- Attend in person or virtually via Zoom
- Held in English with both Spanish and American Sign Language interpretation provided
- Childcare for school-age children provided
- Dinner and mingling start at 4:30 pm
- The SSC meeting itself begins at 5:00 pm
What is the SSC?
- Educational partners from both AEA schools – parents and family members, teachers and staff, administrators, and interested community members.
- Collaborate to guide our school’s plan to reduce the achievement gap and ensure all students meet state academic standards through the compliant and efficient use of Title I funds.
- Established by the California Education Code for all Title I funded schools.
Who should attend SSC meetings and Why?
- Monthly SSC meetings are open to everyone.
- We value input from parents, families, students, teachers, staff, administrators, and community members.
- Your attendance and engagement are encouraged and will help make a big difference for our students!

Tema de debate: “¿Por dónde empezamos? – estadísticas de los estudiantes de AEA y presupuesto del Título I”
Acceso a las reuniones y recursos:
- Asistir en persona o virtualmente por medio de Zoom
- La junta es en inglés con interpretación al español y al lenguaje de señas americano.
- Guardería para niños en edad escolar
- La cena y la hora social comienzan a las 4:30 pm
- La reunión del SSC comienza a las 5:00 pm.
¿Qué es el SSC?
- Son socios educativos de ambas escuelas de AEA: padres y familiares, maestros y personal, directivos y miembros interesados de la comunidad.
- Colaborar para guiar el plan de nuestra escuela para reducir la brecha de rendimiento y asegurar que todos los estudiantes cumplan con los estándares académicos del estado a través del uso conforme y eficiente de los fondos del Título I.
- Establecido por el Código de Educación de California para todas las escuelas financiadas por el Título I.
¿Quién debe asistir a las reuniones del SSC y por qué?
- Las reuniones mensuales del SSC están abiertas a todos.
- Valoramos las aportaciones de padres, familias, estudiantes, maestros, personal, directivos y miembros de la comunidad.
- Lo invitamos a que asista y se comprometa ya que marcará una gran diferencia para nuestros estudiantes.
