Dear AEA Parents:
You may be aware of the fire currently burning in North County San Diego. Our administrative team is actively monitoring this fire as well as weather conditions so that we are positioned to respond proactively.
Going forward, we will be sending email and text message updates to our parent community on an as-needed basis as conditions change.
Having worked in schools during the fires of 2002 and 2007, I am well aware of the fear and uncertainty such events often cause. You have my commitment that we will do whatever it takes to keep our families and staff safe and informed.
While you may see TV news reports from the SD Unified School District and other sources, the official determination as to whether our schools may be closed or placed on a modified schedule will come directly from AEA.
