Today we hit the 20,000 mark for free meals distributed on the AEACMS campus. This is not something that we could ever have anticipated, but I am thankful that we were able to mobilize on behalf of our community and provide this service. We are also continuing computer and internet access distribution efforts on an appointment basis.

While we still don’t know when our schools will re-open in a face-to-face capacity, we are planning for this paradigm shift being semi-permanent for the foreseeable future. This could well mean a hybrid online/on-ground model where students and staff interact virtually as well as in-person while observing social distancing guidelines. This recent news report sums up some of the challenges.

To distract myself from the grim news, I’ve been making a conscious effort to appreciate natural beauty on my morning runs:

The AEACES campus has been closed for weeks. I had to pay a visit, though, from the periphery.

Stay safe, stay healthy.
