Today we received a large shipment of food and other necessities from Costco and our team has begun organizing distribution. These items were purchased with proceeds from the AEA Covid-19 Relief Fund. Thanks again to all who have given so generously to this fund in support of our families in need.
In our ongoing commitment to academic rigor for all students, we have now handed out over 450 computers and dozens of internet access devices. These efforts will continue by appointment until we have met the need.
Finally, in many school districts and charter school organizations there is much debate about whether/how to assess student academic achievement during the school closures. In our Distance Learning Plan we have tried to strike a balance between acknowledging the reality we are living in and also upholding our commitment to academic rigor.
