The Voice of San Diego recently published some useful guidance for parents when choosing a school for their child.  Among the recommendations I agree with is that there is no one perfect school for all students/families, that unilaterally declaring charter schools inherently more innovative than district schools is an overgeneralization, and the one I feel the strongest about (for obvious AEA-related reasons!): “There are opportunities in every school (but IB programs are a slam dunk).”
